In PowerPoint 2008 and earlier, videos play “on top” of all other slide make pleased. Beginning with PowerPoint 2010 videos behave as other objects in layers.
Record plays ON a slide. If you don’t want it over something that is on a current slide, make a new slide with it and insert the record there.
That is NOT an error message – it is just asking if you want the record to play straight away when you get to the slide, or if you want to get to the slide first and have to click another time to make the record play. I’m pretty sure you want it to play automatically.
