THOROUGHLY
HERE’S A SIMPLE – 3 STEP SOLUTION:

OK just to let you know i really work for Microsoft Canada so i can guide you through it. First off since you already have Vista it will be alot simpler.
Steps:
1. Click on start
2. Right Click on My computer than click on MANAGE
3.Than a new Dialogue box will pop up. In that windows on the left hand side click DISK MANAGEMENT
4.Most likely your hard drive will be in the DISK 0 section. Right click on your main paritition and then click SHRINK VOLUME
5. A new dialogue box will pop up. Chose how much storage you want to dedicate to Windows 7. I would recommend ATLEAST 30GB.
6. Then click ok. With that you will see an UNALLOCATED VOLUME.
Right click on that and click NEW SIMPLE VOLUME.
7. Chose your drive letter and make sure it is at NTFS.
8. Start the Windows 7 setup and click CLEAN INSTALL.
9. Chose your partition and then click bed in.
10. It will automatically bed in on that partion
11. From now on everytime you boot your PC you will get a choise between Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Hope this helps!
