Subtract 10 000 000 000 from each number then apply the formating for hyphens with the division.
for 1-555-555-1234
=Mid(A1,2,12)
for 15555551234
=Mid(A1,1,10)
A1 being your cell with the text in it.
By 11 digits do you mean eleven actual digits not 11 characters ie hyphens and or other characters not numbers. Which digit did you wish dropped?
If the first digit is not required =Right(A1,10) would suffice.
If the unwanted character was say a hyphen then either use a Find and replace or use =SUBSTITUTE(A1,”-”,,1).
