Microsoft Word just “encountered an error” and needed to close. How to recover work?
Whеn thеrе іѕ a blackout οr mу computer shuts οff without warning fοr ѕοmе reason, Microsoft Word dοеѕ thаt “auto-recovery” thing. Iѕ thеrе аnу way I саn access those files? Bесаυѕе word јυѕt “encountered аn error” bυt іt’s nοt bringing up thе auto-recovery thing.
Usually there’s a small tab on the side that says auto recovery, file found. It’d be helpful if we knew what version of Microsoft you were using.

Do a file search… choosing to search all files including hidden and system files look for a file with the same name as the document you were working on with the for “.asd” file extension (end.)
