    2. It still gets viruses.
    3. Affront incompatibility with older software.

you’ll be hard pushed, it much better than all revious versions of windows… the only dis-benefit i can reckon of is that once youve used it, its a pain going back to other OS’s… :)

    1. Runs Slow / slow start up

    2. Setting are different then your older version vista or xp.

    3. Support some programs/ some ancient programs might not work properly.

    (1) Lots of older versions of Software will not run on Windows 7, and compatible versions have not been released yet.

    (2) Lots of Hardware (ie Printers) do not work on Windows 7 because they are ancient and the drivers have not been developed or updated toi work under Windows 7, Windows will but (via Plug n Play) do its best to find a driver but it may not be 100% Compatible.

    (3) Can only be installed on Modern computers (say less than two years ancient) because it need a large amount of Ram (Ideally 2/3 Gb) and a larger amount of Hard Disk Space than its predecessors

    (4) Unproven: Reliability – User Friendliness Compatibility – May have unknown Bugs or security issues.

    (5) Relatively Expensive as it is New (if you have to Buy it

Personally I reckon it runs fine. I just installed it on a desktop I built. The things I do not like are the task bar. Do not like the look of the icons in the quick launch area and the fact that they go with around when you open windows. Found a way to make it look like Vista which I prefer. That library and Home group thing. I do not need it. The Library just takes up space in the navigational pane. Found a way around that too. Do not like the folder icons. Liked Vista style better. Was able to change most of them. The one thing I have not been able to change and do not like is the start menu. When you have music, documents, videos, etc on the right hand side of the start menu and you open a folder it does not bring you to your, let’s say, music folder. It brings you to the library where both yours and the public music folder is. You can make it not show the public music folder but it still has stuff at the top of the screen taking up space. I like the fact that you can place the download folder on the right side of the start menu, could not do that with Vista but I want my Vista start menu with the download folder showing in Windows 7 not the one I have to use. Hopefully I will figure this one out too. Petty stuff? For sure. But I want what I want. Hope this helps. Excellent Luck.
