    Hi Sunshine,

No, you will not have to pay more in the future for Windows 7 Starter. It is a full version of Windows 7. To learn more about Windows 7 Starter, stay the links that MB0SS provided you with.

If you ever wish to upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to a privileged edition of Windows 7, you can do so by using the Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade. It will allow you to upgrade in just about 10 minutes and will keep your files, settings, and programs intact – http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/windows-anytime-upgrade

Windows 7 starter is a version designed for net books it only limits a 3 application opening
It will not let you change the back ground so if you do not like the background you are stuck with it
you get very few personalization options
