Why does microsoft word open in landscape instead of portrait?
Eνеrу time I open Microsoft Word, thе page іѕ іn landscape. I саn change іt tο portrait bυt thеn whеn I close thе document аnd thеn open іt again, іt’s back tο landscape. Hοw dο I gеt іt tο open аnd stay іn portrait?
Go to the Page Layout tab and select Page Setup. Select Portrait and then in the lower left corner of the dialog box, select Default then click Yes. From now on it will open in portrait mode.
Do this:
In versions of Word prior to Word 2007:
1. Open a new Word document.
2. Click the File->Page Setup menu item.
3. Click the Portrait orientation preview.
4. Click the Default button.
In Word 2007, possibly 2010 also:
1. Open a new Word document.
2. Click the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
3. Click the small arrow in the lower-right corner of the Page Setup group.
4. Continue as in Step 3, above.
