Hello, I јυѕt bουght a nеw Windows 7 PC fοr mу personal υѕе аt home аnd hаνе set up a secondary user account fοr mу girlfriend tο υѕе. Thе problem I аm running іntο іѕ programs whісh I’ve downloaded (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, AIM, Gtalk, etc..) dο nοt appear whеn ѕhе іѕ logged іn. Iѕ thеrе anyway tο gеt thеm tο ѕhοw fοr both user accounts without mу having tο download аnd bed іn thеm twice? Thanks!
If you are installing them from an account with official privileges, then they should be available for all users.
If not, and you have an official account, you can permanently copy the shortcuts to the All Users’s Desktop or Start Menu.
Hi there,
Sometimes programs will question you during the installation process whether you want to bed in the program for the current user account only, or for all users of the computer. Sometimes they do not give you the option. Did you bed in Chrome, Firefox, etc. from the Admin account? If not, then the installers for those programs probably defaulted to release-user installation. In the future, bed in programs from the Admin account if you want them to be accessible to all users on your computer.
